It all begins with an idea.

Guatemalan Director, Movement Director, Intimacy Director, Producer and Actor Diana Paola Alvarado made her theatrical studies at the School of Art and performance, in Guatemala. She obtained her degree in theatre performance with high honours at the School of Theatre, Universidad Veracruzana in Xalapa, Mexico. In 2006 she was accepted to study the technique of Jacques Lecoq at  École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris, France and completed the second year of this specialization in Estudis de Teatre Berty Tovías in Barcelona, Spain. In 2018 she graduate as an MFA in Movement: Directing and Teaching at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, England.  Also, she has specialized in Intimacy Direction.

She has  worked as a director, movement director and performer in theatre and film.  In her own pieces, she aims to create a dynamic world based in the body of the performer and the awareness of the space.  In 2013 she founds and directs her own company La Fábrica de Microobios that has successfully produced seven plays where the movement is central to the plot.

She has also participated in various theatre festivals, which include film and television, Festival of National Theatre in San Luis Potosi, and Tijuana in Mexico; Festival Theatre, Barcelona Spain; Short Film Festival in London, England.
